We provide a tuition-free eduation as
a community service to help alleviate staffing shortages. There
is no obligation to be a current or future employee (e.g. You can take
your free education and run). Applicants should be warned however
that Palo Alto is ranked amongst the top 10 most expensive cities in
the Nation. We are also a hospital-based education that may or
may not qualify for Federal Grants or Federal Student Loans. To
help offset student expenses, we offer loaner textbooks and conduct
class via video-teleconferencing for students based in Sacramento and
Fresno.
NMTTP students shall cover transportation costs between affiliates.
The daily commute for students based in Palo Alto can stretch as
far north as San Francisco and as far South as O'Connor
Hospital in San Jose. Students based in Sacramento must
complete several rotations in the outpatient clinic in Martinez (about an hour and 15
minutes away). Fresno students are also required to travel to
the Palo Alto and Livermore on occasion.
